A hike of King Mt. by way of the Wilson River Trail and Coronary Trail. It was a 7 1/4 miles, 2700 ft. total gain in 5 1/2 hours that felt like so much more.

Treks and Adventures
King Mt. in the Tillamook State Forest is not very scenic but because of it’s steepness is often used for conditioning hike. There is a lot of up with just a few flat spot thrown in. I took a little use side trail down for part of the decent and only found out toward the end that I was on the Coronary Ridge trail. By the number – 7 miles, 3000 ft. total elevation gain and on the trail for 5 hours.
