Brunt Bridge Creek Greenway Trail Walk

I have wanted to explore more of Brunt Bridge Creek Trail in Vancouver, WA but up to now have not been able to find away around the homeless camps under and around the Freeway. In taking another look at the maps I found what I had hope would be a good starting point. So I set out for my exploratory walk from Leverich park that connected onto the Brunt Bridge Creek Greenway. I found the trail tent free but I could see lots of spots that had been homeless camps. I did a 6 mile out and back walk with my turn around point at Meadow Homes Park. It surprised me how interesting this urban trail was. There is still more trail for me to explore and I hope the squatter problem is over.

Salmon Creek Regional Park walk

Lori, Jeanette and I did a walk along Salmon Creek in the Salmon Creek Regional Park in Vancouver, WA. The place has a very barron look this time of year. Our out and back walk was about 5.5 miles long. Afterwards we went to Billygun’s Roadhouse for lunch.

Lake Sacajawea Park Walk

A last minute choice for Lori, Jeanette and I to do a walk around Lake Sacajawea in Longview Washington. It was a lovely and scenic park with lots of features to see. Our walk was about 3.5 miles long. Afterwards we went to Columbia Inn Restaurant in Kalama for lunch.

Angles Rest to Devils Rest Hike

A solo Gorge hike to Angles Rest and then on to Devils Rest and back. This turned into a very chilly hike with cold temperatures some very strong wind gust. It was fun to find the new trails they have put in and I would like to go back and explore those more when the weather is better.

By the number: 9.5 miles, about 3000 ft. total elevation gain, 4 1/2 hours on the trail
