Treks and Adventures
I did a hike with the Prime Timers up the Oak Ridge Trail and then along Surveyor Ridge Trail to a view and lunch spot. We had 26 folks on the hike with old friends and new ones I met. We did about 9 miles with 2350 ft. gain in about 5 hrs.
I was out with Lori and Jeanette for a short hike at Tualatin Hills Nature Park. Sylvia joined us part way through out hike. I was surprise to find how dried up the wetlands and ponds were for this early in the year. It shows how we are in a drought period. After the hike we went to Murrryhill Taproom, not my favorite, for lunch.
Went back to Hardy Ridge to see how the plants and flowers were doing. The ridge had flowers blooming but not yet in its best blooms yet. Everything is greening up except for the moss. Mixed weather conditions with very good view from the ridge. Ran into a Mazama hike group on the ridge. The hike was 9.5 miles with 2400 ft. total elevation gain and on the trail for about 5 hrs.
