Lori, Jeanette, Sylvia and I did a 6 mile with 500 ft gain nature walk in Chehalem Ridge Nature Park. Afterwards we went to The 649 Tap House and Bottle Shop for some lunch.
Jeanette checks out the map of the park
We find out about the three elders and went in search for the other two.
The park has sign post at almost every junctions.
We start off in sun and with flowers
Most of the park is replanted Douglas fir but there are a few big older trees like this oak.
We find the second elder inviting us to sit for a while.
Most of the walk was on trails under the trees
An Ocean Spray bush in full bloom
Well established under story
We find Farm land with wheat at the edge of the park
Shasta Daisy along the trail
We find the third elder out standing in his field.
A stone echo circle and a place to rest.
Looking over to the start of the coast range.
These are multi use trails that we shared with bikes and horses.
