Treks and Adventures
Lori, Jennette and I did short hike, between rain showers, to see the wild flowers at Tom McCall Preserve in the Columbia River Gorge. This lower section was just finishing its peak bloom and the asters were starting to bloom signaling the end of the Gorge flower season. We went for lunch at the Bargeway pub afterwards. Got to love their lunch specials.
Lori and I hiked the Lower loop trail at Dallas Mt. Ranch. 4.5 miles and 750 ft. elevation gain. Lunch at Bargeway Pub.

I had some new photo gear to test and it was a beautiful morning so I stayed close to home and went out to Kelley Point Park. There was new green on the trees, the lighting was low, big cargo ships docked, all made for good conditions to play with some cameras for a few hours.
Out timing was right to catch the last sunny day for a while and judging by the parking lot a lot of folks had the same idea. Lori, Jeanette, Sylvia and I got back to Catherine Creek to find the early season wildflowers blooming and to enjoy the beautiful scenery, We did not do a lot of distance but we did climb 750ft in a mile. After enjoying the nice weather we went to Riverside for a late lunch and enjoy the river view.
