A hike in the woods on Dry Creek Trail with Lori, Jeanette and Merlyn. This was a new trail for me. It was mostly a walk in the woods in a recovering forest. This area is on the edge of the Trapper Creek Wilderness. We did 8 1/4 miles with 600 ft. gain.
We started on the Trapper Creek Tr. but quickly led to Dry Creek Tr.
Starting our walk in the woods
The trail skirts a steep hill
The trail climbs above Dry Creek
Looking down on Dry Creek
An old cedar stump with a spring board notch shows the area was logged out
Hiking through the new trees that are not cedar.
We got access to a not so dry Dry Creek.
Happy Hikers

A cedar tree in last stages of Decomposing
This area was part of the Hollow Creek Fire
