It was back to Silver Falls State Park with Lori, Jeanette and Sylvia to see a couple of the South waterfalls that we did not get to on our last visit. It was short four mile hike with great scenery. We also visited the Nature Store and the Lodge where I finally got my hot Coco. Afterwards we went back to the Milltown Pub for lunch. With the rain we had to sit inside and decide if you can’t be in garden it is not the place to go.
Benson Plateau Hike
Hole in the Park hike
I went for a conditioning hike in Forest Park and started out just a little before day break. I was going to do a longer hike but I am still not getting my boots and socks matched up right so I cut it short before getting blisters. I did about 9 miles, 1700 ft. gain in a little under 4 hrs. On the BPA road section of the hike I had many flowers blooming.
Silver Falls State Park hike
A new entry point, the North Canyon Day Use Area, had been added to the park and Lori, Sylvia, Jeanette and I used to hike from. We did an out and back that would take us pass six water fall starting with North Falls. We hiked a little over six miles and then headed for lunch at our favorite garden eatery the Milltown Pub. It looks like a dive bar up front but in the back it a lovely garden to have lunch in on a warm, sunny day.
