Weather called for rain so Lori, Jeanette and I decide to stay closer to home and do the Clackamette Loop. This route combines walk ways through several different parks and a little bit of road walking. We did about 4 miles and managed not to get to wet. Afterwards we drove a shot way to Rivershore Bar & Grill for lunch.
We began our walk at Cross Park on the North side of the Clackamas River
The trail lead down to the river
Walking along by the edge of the river
View looking at the bridge we will cross
A rail to trail bridge that will take us to the South side of the Clackamas River
On the pave trail on the South side
It is well brushed over from the trail to the river
The trail passes by the Wastewater treatment plant
A little pond along the way
The rain started so we bundled up
We pass by a backwater that is used for boating in the summer
One of the oddities on our walk
The boat has seen better days
We walked under the bridge to get to the park
They had some kind of emergency exercise going on
We did loop around the park and head on
Heading off to cross back over the Clackamas River
Clackamas River was running fast
We had a section of walking through a neighborhood
Some interesting house along the route
Last stretch of trail back to the car
We did a short driver over to Rivershore Bar & Grill for lunch
We had a view of the river from our table
A good variety of possibilities on the menu
Best price I have had for beer in a while
I was able to have a meal for the price of a burger.
