Benson Plateau Hike

A solo condition hike on the PCT to Benson Plateau. A good variety of flowers were blooming along the trail. The hike was 13 miles with 4000 ft. total gain and on the trail for 7.5 hours.

Silver Falls State Park hike

A new entry point, the North Canyon Day Use Area, had been added to the park and Lori, Sylvia, Jeanette and I used to hike from. We did an out and back that would take us pass six water fall starting with North Falls. We hiked a little over six miles and then headed for lunch at our favorite garden eatery the Milltown Pub. It looks like a dive bar up front but in the back it a lovely garden to have lunch in on a warm, sunny day.

Sandy River Delta Exploratory

I had a very nice morning to explore trails at the Sandy River Delta.

Dog Mt. with the Prime Timers

My first hike with a new organization the Cascade Prime Timers

Tom McCall Preserve

Lori, Jennette and I did short hike, between rain showers, to see the wild flowers at Tom McCall Preserve in the Columbia River Gorge. This lower section was just finishing its peak bloom and the asters were starting to bloom signaling the end of the Gorge flower season. We went for lunch at the Bargeway pub afterwards. Got to love their lunch specials.
