Lower Salmon River Hike

We had nice weather, that gave use a chance to head to the mountains for a hike. Lori, Jeanette, Sylvia and I went up the Lower Salmon River trail to do a 6.5 mile out and back hike. This trail runs next to the Salmon River in one of the last old growth forest left in Oregon. Afterwards we went to have a late lunch at Smokey Hearth in their out door seating area.

Milo McIver State Park Hike

We caught a day between winter fronts with clouds but no rain. So it was Lori, Jeanette, Sylvia and I out for a 5.5 mile walk at Milo McIver State Park. This time out we visit the dam and could see the lake and dock. We had a little mud in some spots but most of this is on good trail. We mostly hiked the Rivermill loop. Afterwards we went to Smoky Hearth for lunch

White River Snow

Lori, Marilyn and I were going to do a snowshoe up the White River on Mt. Hood but once we got there we found we could just hike it with micro spikes. Nice sunny day. About 3.5 miles. Afterward we went to Smokey Hearth for lunch.
